 Jim Ward owns and operates Jim Wards Whitetail Academy.  He teaches countless seminars through out the country each year along with his course he puts on in Iowa.  Jim also does alot of custom work manageing and "deer scaping" individuals land.

Jim started hunting at an early age and after graduating from high school he enlisted in the Marine Corp. Jim left the corp in 1989 and attended Vincennes University obtaining an associates degree in conservation law and was recognized on the national dean's list two years straight.

Jim began hunting began his career in land management in 2001 assisting a good friend on his property. In their first year of management they seen three big bucks with the largest being 110".

In a mere eight years, the property has yeilded twenty-four mature bucks. In the first three years of structured improvement 126"-140" deer were being harvested. Drastic improvement in buck size has been steady testament to land management success with many bucks from 150" to 184", four of these scoring over 170."
